Believing in magic and born to Indian-American parents, her fiction brings a bit of the exotic and the fantastic into the everyday. Thakrar is a graduate of the 2006 Clarion Writers’ Workshop and recently completed her M.A. in German Literature from Rutgers University. This is her first publication.
