Shweta Narayan

plants in the Borneo rainforest; she has been an avid student of
surreal botany ever since. When not pursuing field work, she writes
both fantasy and academic papers, generally attempting to keep the two
distinct.
Shweta is a graduate of the Clarion 2007 workshop, for which she received the Octavia Butler Memorial Scholarship. Her recent and forthcoming publications outside academia include work in Coyote Wild, Shimmer, the Journal of Mythic Arts, and the Beastly Bride anthology (ed. Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling).
